The Tender Process

Procurement activity conducted by Galileo Multi Academy Trust follows a fair, open and transparent process in accordance with relevant procurement law, procurement procedure rules and standard operating practices managed and maintained centrally by the Trust’s Central Finance Team.

All procurement documentation includes the criteria that will be used when evaluating bid submissions so providers understand the priorities of the Trust, and to ensure that the evaluation process is transparent.

All tender submissions are evaluated by a panel and the Trust can provide written feedback to bidders so they can understand how their submission scored against the published criteria.

External Audit

​Although each of the individual schools maintain their own budget, the finance function is run centrally, and all day-to-day banking of the Trust is carried out by the central team. Each School works with the same chart of accounts and nominal structure, inputting information into PS Financials. The central team then prepare consolidated management figures and financial reporting on behalf of the Trust.

We are seeking tenders to perform External audit, Teachers’ Pension Return audit, and statutory accounts preparation work, working closely with the CFOO.

The contract will be from April 2022 to March 2025 with an option to renew.

PROVISION OF CATERING SERVICES

The Trust is undertaking a tender process with the objective of sourcing a catering provider for 9 of the 10 primary schools within the Trust. We hope to provide a first-class catering experience to pupils, staff, and visitors, whilst ensuring the facilities are maintained to exceptional standards for all school requirements.

The contract being tendered is to provide a healthy, high-quality, value for money catering service to all school pupils (including free school meals), staff, and a hospitality service as required. The contract also requires the successful applicant to assist with food quality, food education, pupil interaction and communication, consistency of food and service and continual value for money.

This Selection Questionnaire (SQ) is designed to provide the Trust with the information required to assess your organisation’s suitability to be invited to tender.
