TEACHING ASSISTANT, JOHN EMMERSON BATTY PRIMARY SCHOOL

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Teaching Assistant at John Emmerson Batty Primary School to join our friendly and dedicated team.

Required: 4^th November 2024 – or as soon as possible thereafter
Salary: Level 3
Contract: 1 Year Fixed Term (Until 31^st August 2025)
Hours: Part Time : 29.5 hours per week
Location: The postholder will be based at John Emmerson Batty Primary School
Role: Teaching Assistant initially work in KS2

Applications are invited from suitably experienced, motivated and qualified persons to work under the guidance of teaching / senior staff. The successful candidate will initially work in Lower Key Stage 2. This will include assisting the teacher in the whole planning cycle and the management/preparation of resources to implement agreed work programmes with individual or groups in or out of the classroom. You may also cover whole classes occasionally during the short-term absence of teachers.

We can offer you a friendly school community, supportive colleagues and the chance to develop your skills whilst working with children that are keen to learn.

Good reading, writing and numeracy skills are essential.

Hours: 8.45am – 3.15pm, Monday to Friday

Required for as soon as possible.  

We are looking for a committed, talented, enthusiastic and motivated Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the day to day running of our happy and successful school.

As a school, we endeavour to make a real difference to the lives of the children within our care. The culture in school is one of high expectations and aspiration for all.

The successful candidate will be required to work under the guidance of teaching members of staff to effectively support the needs of a pupil within the Year 1 Class, enabling them to access all curriculum areas and make good progress. The pupil has a range of complex needs and will require specific support with his communication and social skills.
