Galileo Art Competition February 2026

Pupils from across Galileo entered the third annual art competition with the finalists exhibiting their work at a special gallery in the hall of Westgarth school. The theme reflecting the Trust’s namesake Galileo was ‘space and the night sky’ and the standard of work was excellent. There was a prize for the winning piece from each year group as judged by the Galileo Pupil Council, the Chair of Governors from Westgarth Ellen Bissel, the CEO of Galileo Jane Spence, and local artist Jane Riley. Thank you to all the brilliant artists and judges for making this such a special occasion.
