Easter Egg Raffle raises £500 for local charities

Each year our staff at Green Gates Primary School kindly donate chocolate eggs and run an Easter egg raffle for pupils. This year the whole-school raffle raised £500. Our school ambassadors (our pupil council) met to decide how best to use the funds and chose to support three local charities that help children and families in our community. They split the money raised as follows –

• Zoe’s Place — £200
• Maxi’s Mates — £200
• The Junction — £100

Our ambassadors felt strongly that donating the money to these 3 charities would make a positive difference to their community.
